Care Guide

Our 925 sterling silver jewellery is crafted for everyday elegance. While pure silver is a durable precious metal, it requires mindful care to preserve its clean lines, structural integrity, and brilliant finish over time.

Follow these simple steps to ensure your pieces remain pristine.

The Golden Rule: Last On, First Off

To protect the high-polish finish and rhodium plating of your jewellery, it should be the final touch to your outfit and the first thing you remove at the end of the day.

  • Wait to wear: Allow your perfumes, lotions, cosmetics, and hairsprays to dry completely before putting on your jewellery. The chemicals in these products can dull the silver's shine.

  • Remove for rest: Take off your pieces before sleeping to prevent delicate chains from tangling or structural rings from bending under pressure.

Water & Elements

While 925 silver is water-resistant, continuous exposure to certain elements can accelerate natural oxidation.

  • Avoid Harsh Waters: Always remove your jewellery before entering swimming pools, hot tubs, or the ocean. Chlorine and saltwater are highly corrosive to silver.

  • Workouts & Spa: Remove your pieces before vigorous exercise or visiting a sauna, as the sulphur naturally found in sweat can cause tarnishing.

  • Showering: While an occasional shower won't immediately harm your jewellery, it is best to remove it to prevent soap residue from building up in the intricate textures and geometric cutouts of the designs.

Cleaning Your Silver

Routine cleaning will keep the rhodium plating looking brilliant and flawless.

  • Daily Maintenance: After wearing, gently wipe your jewellery with a soft, lint-free microfibre cloth to remove any body oils or environmental dust.

  • Deep Cleaning: If your piece needs a deeper clean, soak it for a few minutes in a bowl of lukewarm water mixed with a drop of mild, fragrance-free dish soap. Gently clean the piece with your fingers or a very soft-bristled toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and pat completely dry with a soft cloth.

  • What to Avoid: Never use liquid jewellery dips, abrasive polishes, or harsh chemical cleaners. These will strip the protective rhodium plating and damage the metal.

Proper Storage

Oxidation is a natural process that occurs when silver is exposed to oxygen and moisture in the air. Proper storage is your best defense.

  • Keep it Dry: Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place. Avoid keeping it in the bathroom, where humidity fluctuates.

  • Individual Storage: Keep your pieces separated to prevent them from scratching each other. Store them in the original Chakore packaging, a soft fabric pouch, or an airtight zip-lock bag.
